    Post Spinning Icon/Logo in I.E 5.0

    Hey All,

Just curious if any of you fine people know how to change the little spinning icon in the uppper right corner of I.E. AOL puts their logo there...MindSpring does it too.

How can I change it to put my own logo there? Anybody?

    Thanks in advance...

    DonJ

It is part of a Resouce Kit from Microsoft. Should be a free download - just search the site for IR resouce kit, or something like that.

You need to create two bitmaps of two sizes and then use them. You can try www.xteq.com's X-Setup which has wizards to guide you through this process.
    Do try it.

Additionally you can use X-Setup to remove customisation also. !!

I was hoping to put my company's logo...or another .BMP image there. But how do I go about it? I've looked at Micro$oft's I.E. Resource Kit...didn't look like anything I want or need.

    Thanks again...will continue monitoring...

    Unhappy

Well, I wasn't able to create my own logos

I went back and double checked everything I could find...the only thing I found was that this article refers to IE 4.0, not 5.0. I suppose that could be causing the problem. It also talks about using MS Paint that came with Win95...I'm assuming that Paint which came with Win98 should work the same. Any thoughts?!?

I was able to restore the default IE globe logo which got rid of that silly MindSpring logo...

I will try again and see how that goes.

    Thanks for the info...
