Ok, let's get into gear here.
On the subject of homosexuality...should a home owner be allowed to display a gay pride flag outside their house in an established association?
I say no. There is no need to display one’s sexual preference in this manor. Heterosexuals don’t have a flag, why do gays need a flag?

Because we don't have a flag doesn't mean they can't fly theirs. It's our fault for not having a hetro flag in the first place.

I'd like my flag to say "shagadellic" in big phallic letters, I'd fly it from my chimney.

Are you talking about a simple rainbow flag or a big ol' "love me cause I am gay super pride" flag?
In the first case, I have no problem, it is symbolic and simple nothing to it. In the second case, well they are just trying to get attention and it would depend on the association's rules, it is a little much.

But isn't that exactly what the gay pride flag illustrates? I would be appalled if my neighbor came up to me and just said hey, I like pounding guys…and I am talking about the female neighbors. Far be it from me to make this just a homophobic debate. I don’t need to know a sexual preference, it should stay behind closed doors, hetero or homo. I didn’t invite them to tell me this.
Edit: Cleetus, the typical rainbow flag with the 6 colors. I don't know if I have ever seen the flag you are talking about, but it must be bad to meet your disapproval...

What does it really matter anyway? I'd consider a gay pride flag to be much less of an eyesore than the 2 junked out torn apart thunderbirds sitting up on cinder blocks and being held together by bondo in my neighbors' yard.

So which would be worse, A gay rainbow flag or a Confederate Battle flag?

Both are bad, and should not be displayed. But if I had to pick one to be worse, gay flag, without hesitation.

Damn dude, it is just a freaking flag and a flag is only as much of a symbol as each individual wishes it to be. OTherwise it is only cloth. Which means you really have some bad pent up anger against teh gay

No, I'm saying it's his property, his home, and his land. He can do whatever he wants - doesn't affect me. Property values be damned.
I've got a Steelers flag flying on my deck. It's not required that I let people know what football team I root for, especially not deep in Redskins country, but I do. And no one can stop me.
