    Uh-oh....

"Here's a story that isn't getting as much coverage as I think it should. Yesterday World Net Daily was reporting that in July George Bush will announce a sweeping new mental health initiative that will recommend mental health screening for every U.S. citizen."

Any more links to this with more detail?

I wonder what is specified as mental health screening. f used broadly, an IQ test could be stated to be a mental health exam I suppose. I dunno, it doesn't sound like something that would have come to be without the media howling a bit more.

Um, introducing an initiative that has no hopes in passing both houses before election.

Then I lost all interest as the dude started babbling on against the left

    This may help:

Some of the details in the "progress report" make it SEEM innocuous enough, BUT...

Read the "whistleblower" report mentioned in the article, this basically allows the Gov't to medicate your children at their whim.

As much disinterest as I have with those who babble against the right, and especially those who say "You're thowing away your vote" if I choose to vote Libertarian.

Ok, so this guy in the article blames Bush for something the congress will have to vote on, then bashes all on the left for not agreeing with his view on the war. Yeah, whatever dude, I want a third party but **** like that keeps me far away from the libertarians.

Can they start in here ?

..President Bush plans to unveil next month a sweeping mental health initiative that recommends screening for every citizen and promotes the use of expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs favored by supporters of the administration.

The New Freedom Initiative, according to a progress report, seeks to integrate mentally ill patients fully into the community by providing "services in the community, rather than institutions," the British Medical Journal reported...
Mmm so are we a 'community' or an 'institution' ?

Either way I think we have more than our share !
