msconfig
I was told one time about a utility, for Win95, that serves the same purpose as msconfig in Win98. Are any of you familiar with such a thing and if so can you direct me to a download site?

Startup Cop, check out tucows and do a search for Startup Cop.
If you can't find it, email me as I have it somewhere in my bag of tricks and can send it to you.

Msconfig will work on 95osr2. Just do a search for it on a 98 machine and copy it to a floppy.
*note* you should copy it onto the 95 machine for it will search the floppy if you run it from there.

I never used msconfig. I never knew that MS put that in 98. I just enjoy going into DOS and manually editing the files. But that's just me

the good thing abouy MSConfig is that it shows all of the startup programs in all three places:- WIN.INI

- and the registry
