Disk Boot Failure
After install of win98 it goes to reboot after install and comes up with disk boot failure.
I see the drive in DOS and put the cabs over on the drive and ran setup locally......Hmmm
Yes the BIOS sees the drive FUJISU 20GIG

Two things I over look most of the time are, jumpers on the drive and a non-dos partition on the drive. check both...
Just a thought.. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Well I figured it out.Back about 2 years ago in school we used our boot disks in class and there use to be this virus, called NYB virus.Somehow I was using a win98 boot disk that was infected.I was working on another machine and was gonna do another drive when BammmmmmThe BIOS detected a virus on the floppy....I went Ahhh SH&T...Took it our virus station and sure enough.....NYB.I stood up,looked around at the test bench and had six computers there ,four of them that been in contact with this disk.Need less to say I balled the disk up in half in my hand 2 points to the garbage can.
SOLUTION:
Uninfected boot disk brought back my marvelous 20gigs! <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">
