Now the Aussies are wacky, too...

"....on the eve of a crackdown on swords and crossbows across Victoria.

From July 1, the weapons will be classed as prohibited, which means anyone caught carrying one without lawful excuse risks six months in jail or a $12,270 fine.

Self-defence will not be considered a lawful excuse."

Gee, full firearms ban, now swords and crossbows. What's next? Pocket knives with a blade longer than 1 inch?

And not one mention of actually stopping crime.....

Sounds more tyrranical than the US at the moment.

And yet, even the Saudis get the point...

"Saudi Arabia offers foreigners right to carry guns amid rising fears"

    http://www.etaiwannews.com/World/200...1088218954.htm

"In principle, a citizen has the right to carry a licensed weapon, and so does the resident. If he senses danger, he can carry a personal weapon as he does in his country," Prince Nayef said late Wednesday.
