Question support info button in system properties

When you go to the System Properties in any windows opsys, if it is a system from IBM or Compaq etc, they have their logo and a Support Information button right on that page. I've figured out the OEMLOGO.bmp and OEMINFO.ini files, but after creating those files, I still don't get the support info button.

    What am I missing?

    Cool

This is because the manufacturer/supplier of your PC hasn't put any support info into the system. Programs such as Sytem Profiler etc... allow the manufacturers of PC's to put this info in and allow you to see it in the Support Information button in System Properties. Obviously they haven't entered this information though which means you don't get a Support Information Button.

use the above page as a template and save in the Windows\system folder on your hdd. Just done it myself and no problems.

Microsoft has the oem setup for retailers who build pc's I can't remember what it was for Win95, but you used the setup program and you could set the support information to anything you want and set the startup screen to have your logo in it. Last but not least when the cust got the machine they had to put in the product key and agree to the eula. Once the program was done you copied it to a floppy and you had an unattended install with no setup questions to answer. All of microsofts os's have this.
