What Hard Drive Should I get?

Ive been thinking about picking up a DW Raptor:

    WD Raptor

Then I saw this Hitachi drive on Sale... Performance is not as good, but the price and reviews Ive read seem to be right.

    Hitachi

    So what do you think?

Hitachi/IBM drives (based on my experiences) seem to be kinda quirky. I've always had postive exeperiences with WD. Haven't tried a raptor drive yet, but they seem to be very popular.

4gig less, twice the price, better seek time, faster speed, longer warranty. And it's been given 5 stars out of more users.

I've seen more problems with Hitachi drives, so the Raptor it is.

Oh, and there's not a 9999 limit on buying them it seems....

Another vote for the Raptor. Ditto the above. User ratings are king.

Rapotor is a great drive isn't it. I voted for beer just because nobody else did

Gonna have to save my pennies for a little while longer.

$188.00 is a little more than I can spend right now. But ill get there..

U know adept is right, Raptor is a good name for a HD, I liked the name Quantum Fireball too and Seagate Cheetah.

I thought you'd see it that way too.

All that technical schmechnical mumbo-jumbo is good too, I guess, but it has to reflect your inner animal side, you know?
