    HAIR?!?! WTF!

What about Stargate Atlantis? Spinning off another Stargate series while the other is still running? I have my doubts on that one..

I'm going to wait and see on that one. I'll watch the first couple of episodes first, then decide.

I read a few of the Shadowrun novels while I was in high school... I really liked how they combined mythological beings (dragons, orcs, elves, etc.) and magic (shamans and mages) with very futuristic science...

Ender's Game would be awesome. I would probably stop after that, the rest of the books aren't as good. I do like the series about his brother (Peter) that takes place afterwards.

How about Saberhagen's Books of Swords, or Empire of the East ?

Not SF, but fantasy: the original Dragonlance series would fare much better than the D&D "movie" last produced.

for those who want to catch a glimpse of Stargate Atlantis:

Adept, I totally agree.. ahhh to see someone play Raistlin... now that would rock! I've been a fan of DragonLance since 7th grade when I borrowed the Chronicles from my uncle. I'd love to see that done in a LOTR-type adaptation. Probably not as much appeal as LOTR but I'll bet it wouldn't fare to bad if done well.
