    Post Exeception ESockError

    Help! My computer does not startup into Win98 desktop normal mode. I must select Safe mode and go into that instead. When I go into safe mode, I get this error

    "Exception ESockError in module WIN98.com at 00703BD.10038: Socket operation on non-socket."

    This all started when I tried to install Adaptec Easy CD-Creator and ejected the CD while it was restarting. When it restarted I got the choice of Normal or Safe Mode....and now I have this error and can't access anything. Please Help! -anthony

    In safe mode, uninstall the Adaptec software and reboot. If this fixes everything, then reinstall Adaptec.
