POP3 Connector not delivering
Hi there, I’m a little new to this, but i seem to have a similar problem. I hope some one can help as i think i have tried every variation of settings i can find, but to no avail.
I have SBS2003 with various users set up on it. When i send a test email it sends it from [email protected]l. As suggested in a previous thread, i have gone into the users smtp email properties and created another which is [email protected] and set this to the default. Now when i send an email it is from [email protected]. So all is well i thought.
The problem occurs here, when the default smtp email is the company.local one the POP3 connector delivers the mail from the webmail account to the correct exchange account, however once i changed the default email to the company.com one, the POP3 connector stopped delivering it to the correct exchange account, in fact i have no idea where it is delivering it to.
I have checked to see if the mail is being taken out of the webmail account and it is, so now i have no idea where the email is being delivered.
So in summary, when the default mail is .local, mail is retrieved but sent incorrectly, and when the default mail is .com, mail is sent correctly but is not retrieved.
I’m sorry it was a bit long winded, but this is my first posting and not too sure how much detail to put down.
Would be grateful for any help.
Thankx
