i've never had a bad deep fried turkey.....
i think it would be hard to over cook, but i've never let it go over the recommended cooking time more than a minute or so.
and make sure the turkey is dry, or you'll get the snap-crackle-pop and some flying hot oil from the water hitting that oil
i also just got a rotisserie for my grill and tri-tip on that is the way to go also...
i must say though the deep frier is more of an event in and of itself....
