hmmm 1.4 million new jobs , wonder why the wife had so much trouble just trying to find any job whether it was paying min.wage or what .
Just like I've seen'em saying Unemployment was down and yet everbody around was getting layed-off and no jobs to go to .

Still plenty of jobs in Atlanta but more of them are lower paying jobs. Back in 2000 you could make $8/hour at Taco Bell because labor was scarce. From a macro perspective one of the results of the recession has been to fill many of those jobs that needed filling as well as keep down inflation... doesn't make for happy job seekers though.

Companies up here just keep hiring back the retired workers for even more $$$.
So the young people don't get a chance to work at all....

Aye that be the industry I be making my living in! And a wonderful living it is. So how is the nickel holding out and is Inco still the one ton gorilla?
The company I work for has a couple of gold mines WNW of ya in the Hemlo region.

Well thier when you get a shovel full of rock and dirt and toss it - it leaves the shovel , this clay cr*p just stays there and you have to scrap it off .
one good thing tho when it dries
its like cement , saves buying bags of cement .
