Problem
Alright...it's crazy that so many poeple are having this problem. I have the remnants of what used to be an HP Pavilion mx70. It's my grandparents computer and before I arrived they had some problems and...it looks to me like someone charged them to take out the old board and put it in a new box. The audio is built into the board and I did try the steps suggested to the other HP owner but when I got to the end of the install for the ADI 188x well it told me that "the drivers weren't found" and that I should reboot and try again..so I did...and got the same message. Any help?

Welcome to Windrivers searching
I think you should confirm that the motherboard in the machine is the original motherboard or not. this should tell you and its free.
Post what it finds under chipset, system, mainboard and bios please.

Please folks - one thread per poster & issue - else it all gets most confus-ed, which means confus-ed-ness, which is great for me when I'm feeling confus-ed, but not lucid, but I think generally in the technical bits of the forums, I'm suppos-ed to be lucid & NOT confus-ed - Is that sufficiently confus-ing ?

Sorry you were missed and Welcome to WD .
This is why they ask to start your own thread so your not missed or lost in the crowd .
Anyway were you able to solve your problem ?

Metz you have the pavilion 453uk.
You just need to install the the inf driver here stupidly, hp doesn't supply it.
You didn't say which windows you have, but this one is for all windows versions

The chipset on my computer is Intel 845e. I believe that the motherboard is a Micro-Star MS-6579. The sound card is on board. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

emachines m6805 standby & hibernate missing winxp
Hello All,
I just wanted to post my findings for anyone looking for the same problem to find and hopefully fix their problem.
I installed a new hard drive in my Emachines M6805 and reloaded WinXp pro. When done I had no Standby and naturally no Hibernate. I checked all the easy stuff and I had the ACPI compliant device in my device manage with the current Driver.
My fix was easy. I updated the CPU driver. I had the original disk from Emachines. If you can't find it online drop me an e-mail and I'll send it to you.
I will get a link put on my website when I get my system back running 100%.
Drivers will be at: www.snapshot911.com/emachines
I had to load about 6 drivers so I will put all of them on there. I know they are on emachines website so I am just making it a little easier for all you people out there needing help.
Emachines M6805
512 Ram
Mobile AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+
ACPI compliant system
80G WD hard Drive
Internal WiFi
Realtek AC'97 Audio
Hope this helps someone. Took me a few hours to figure it out

HP Pavilion 772n audio driver
I have the HP Pivilion 772n and lost the HD in it so I lost the recovery and could not get the audio to work. I contacted HP support and they gave me the link to a site who had it, and IT WORKED. Here is what they gave me...
ftp://202.65.194.212/pc/audio/WDM_403.exe if you cut & paste this address into your address bar it will download the (updated) driver you need.
