Two IE Problems

Problem One - IE has stopped remembering my passwords, it still prompts me but does not save them. And before you ask yes it is all enabled.
Problem Two - My default HTML editor has gone to notepad and I no longer have the option to select Frontpage or Dreamweaver in the Programs Panel.

Ive had a brief mouch in the registry but couldnt really see anything. Ive also ran the IE repair tool. Any Ideas?

Hi,

For the pb 1: Could you check the below option:

- Internet Option Under Tool menu
- Content then click on AutoComplete

See if all options are checked. If it's the case, then the file which store the passwords is corrupted. In this case, just rename all PWL extension files to OLD. Then log off and log on your computer to recreate a new one to see if it's working.

2nd pb: Just go to Internet Option and Programs tab. Under this option, you will be able to select the defaut app for HTML editor.


Note: If nothing is working then simply uninstall IE then reinstall it.
