    Question sr9 conflict in winME

I am getting error code OD 0337 0000146F after installing the driver for number nine video adapter card SR9 8MB SDRAM. The readme file says it may be a conflict with the standard PCI adapter automaticly detected by WindowsME and I shoud delete it. Windows says it installed software for it, but when I go to delete in from device manager, its not there. My computer will only start in safe mode when the SR9 is installed. I also tried starting in VGA mode which got me to windows with both drivers, but the standard PCI is still not there to delete and the SR9 is disabled. any ideas?

    Welcome to Windriver Annienomis.

Which driver did you use for the sr9?
You seem to imply that this machine has onboard or another video card... is that so?
What make and model of motherboard or computer do you have?

Have you tried installing the motherboard drivers?

In safe mode remove the sr9 and restart. Cancel the driver install in normal mode when it redetects. Look in device manager, what is showing up for display adapters now?

Accoding to the readme file, windows loads a PCI standard driver by default after fomating the hard drive. (which I did). Before I loaded the SR9 driver the PCI was the only one windows detected and loaded.

the only thing I see on the motherboard is CE FC M7KB version 1.1

The weird thing is I have formated this computer a few times before and didn't have this problem.

Try the via 4 in 1's www.viaarena.com - on the left links to drivers. You want the hyperions. Then after reboot, try loading the video driver again

It has several listed. How do I know which one to pick? Don't know anything about chipsets, but having a great time learning all this stuff!

By the way, my computer was built by a computer store. Has worked great for years.

You're on the wrong page. You want the chipset drivers here http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=300, not the graphics drivers.

You could also try the S3 Savage4 drivers here http://ranger.s3graphics.com/swlib/395drv/ the SR9 uses the Savage4 chip

ok, i think I may have it. I found the 4 in 1 files on a CD that came with my puter. Thought it was just the audio driver. Trying that now.
