    Fic, PA-2013 2meg cache, win95

I am running out of opions. Here is a run down of my system.
    Motherboard
Fic, PA-2013, 2 meg onboard cache

    Operating system
Win95 OSR2, I am a gamer and like the low resorces.

    CPU,
    AMD k6-3 400

    Graphics
    Creative Labs Riva TNT

    Graphics Add-on
    Creative Labs Voodoo2

    Sound Card
    Creative Labs Soundblaster Live

Here is my problem, after about 5 to 10 minutes of running my system it feezes. Cant hit control, ALT, Delete because it is a solid freeze. Cant do a think but reboot. With my experimenting on what was my problem I turned the External Cache of 2megs off in the bois. And my problem went away. So I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to do because I want to use my L3 cache. I was also wondering if my problem is Win95, maybe it cant handle the 2 meg, cache. I have tried to install win98 but I could never get the my Riva TNT drivers to work right with it so my monitor setting were all mest up. Couldnt go to 1024 X 768, there might be a driver for that now. I am not sure. So does anyone think that my problem Win95 or is there something that I am missing in the bios, ect. Please help, very frustrated,

It could be that your system is overheating. I think that the first thing I would do would be to remove the computer case and set a desk fan blowing on the motherboard, with the cache enabled. If this takes care of the problem, invest in some case fans. If this doesn't take care of your problem then you may have a problem with your cache.

    Hi,

I agree with acord, however another thing you might want to try is to update to the latest bios version, also get the latest via chipset drivers and patches. I have found that doing this and running all 5 of them solves many a strange problems like this. Jeanne
