E:\The device is not ready
Trying to download Photoimpact 4.2 My E:\ The device is not ready. I have used this this program for years. I can download other software. HELP

What is "E:\" ? (CD-rom or RW - harddrive ?)
Can you select to save else where ?

Do you mean save something your doing in Photoimpact to E:\ ?(would still need to know what "E: is )

E:\ is my cd-rom I am trying to re-install Photoimpact 4.2

Does your cdrom play music cds? Can you read other cds?
Is the photo impact cd scratched?

Yes I can play music and install other software. It is not the install cd,I have a back up and still no luck.

Ok, I hate to be the one who notices the obvious but.... If you can install other software and play music CD's.... Guess What? That only leaves one option left.... How hold is your CD-ROM Drive? It may not have the proper error correction to actually read the TOC ( Table of Contents)

It is alittle over a year old.

Have you uninstalled photoimpact? You say you have a back up copy, do you have the original too?

I have tried the original and a backup copy,still no luck.
