Its not? The standard HP drivers are generally PCL drivers.

Edit: Looks like this is what you've got - I think you're stuck with it:
The HP Color LaserJet 3500 Series printers are host-based, meaning they rely on the host computer to process the print job, and therefore require less processor power and memory—resulting in a more affordable color printer. For some host-based printers, there are performance penalties to consider, but with HP’s host-based printer language, HP JetReady 4.0, printer data is compressed and streamed so efficiently that product costs are lowered without sacrificing performance or print quality, delivering a higher
    value printer for your business.

HP JetReady 4.0 is an HP Page Description Language (PDL) based on PCL 6 and pre-rendered pages. JetReady is used to transfer pre-rendered pages from the host to the printer and instruct the printer on how to convert the pages to be HP LaserJet engine-ready data.

Nope, even HP says it will not print PCL. Just didn't know if anyone had a tweak that would help me print PCL.

    JetReady

Our PCLTool.exe, PCLView.exe and PCLPrint.exe programs can all convert PCL4/5/5e/5c and PCL XL into PCL XL with JetReady compression. Just View or Print the PCL to the HP 3500 printer driver.

We also just added support for PCL XL JetReady compression to our PCL emulator. So, we can now view this new compression format and/or print it to any Windows printer driver.

Go to www.pcltools.com and download PCLTool SDK Demo for a eval. And, go to www.pclcodes.com to sign-up for our web service front-end to our PCLCodes PCL DisAssembler program. It's the best tool to help decipher PCL.
