Question Who would you vote for?

    READ THIS BEFORE VOTING!!!

I realize I'm probably opening up a huge can of worms doing this, and if things get out of hand, I'll gladly delete this thread myself...

After posting my thread about political third parties, I wanted to see how a Windrivers vote would go including third parties. Please visit each parties' website to learn more about them (in case you've never heard of them) before voting in the poll. Here is a list of the candidates and links to their website. Also, please try to vote for which candidate you agree with, not the candidate you think will win...

    George W. Bush, Republic Party

    John Kerry, Democratic Party

    Ralph Nadar, Reform Party

    David Cobb, Green Party

    Michael Peroutka, Constitution Party

    Michael Badnarik, Libertarian Party

    Walt Brown, Socialist Party

    Diane Templin, American Party

If you would actually have another candidate that is not listed, please select "other" from the list...

I think at this point I'd vote kerry. Wesley Clark would have been my ideal candidate, but after 4 years of dubya, I'll take anything else.

I totally agree. I went to every one of those sites and the most disturbing thing that I found was that the GOP site was a huge attack on Kerry. It took me a long time to find their agenda.

Funny, I know I voted not decided. Debates haven't even happened to sway me back to Kerry, but otherwise, I am still looking at a third party. Kerry is so far away from what I would want, and I think the current administration needs to leave. Looking at the vote spread out like this, a lot of people don't want Bush yet don't want Kerry either.

What brings you to that conclusion. I thought you were one of our more conservative people here. BTW - I'm not instagating, I happen to agree but the alternative isn't pretty.

nah definately not conservative. . . . . . . . . . . . not completely liberal either though. I tend to fall in the middle, but generally lean to the left.

I'm not a big fan of Kerry, he seems like a weasel. there is just something about him that screams "Shady" to me. . . . . . very C-liton-esque. But if it's kerry or the current administration then I'll take Kerry. It's time to get dubya out of there before he does any real damage . . . .

I don't think voting third party is always a wasted vote... it kind of depends on what the objective is. If the objective is to get another party as a major player in the future, every vote counts and helps. but if the objective is to make sure bush doesn't get another 4 years then voting third party is a waste of a vote, because the only folks who are probably going to vote third party are those in the middle, and the middle will (as usual) decide the election.

gotta love the censor filters, I couldn't even type c-liton!!!

I agree with you cleetus. you just have to decide with thing you don't want more

If kerry in office is the worse of the two evils, a third party vote is smart and probably helps to that end. If bush in office for 4 more years is the worse of the two evils, that same third party vote could hurt.
