[RESOLVED] EVIL VXD Error message

pls help me anyone
when i start my cpu up it takes ages then crashes when i click on anything and i get the following error/blue screen of death message:

VXD VMM(01)
00004338

and sometimes
VXDNAVEX

when this happens my cpu reboots and does the same thing again. and other than getting a new cpu/harddrive i don't know what to do.
I would appriciate any help anyone can give me, my details are as follows:

AMD-K6 600
128mg Ram
8.2HD
Win98
3DFX Voodoo2 graphics card

There is a VXD Fix posted somewhere on Windrivers for the problem your having.
I downloaded it about 3 months ago
If you email me, I will send you the file.

Try to uninstall the norton utilities or anti virus first, to see if that cures your problem.
