NEC DVD 2500a usb wont burn
Up until a few days ago everything worked fine..now when using dvd shrink and nero it goes thru the process just fine until it gets to the writing to cache stage/burn process and then it just freezes up. It doesn't even recognize dvd-r media anymore. When these are put in the drive states that it is now a cd drive. Any ideas at all.??? Thanx

Welcome to Windrivers cyanescens
Since it used to work you are faced with three possibilities...
1. It just decided that it was time to go faulty
2. You installed an update or another device or uninstalled something which upset the drivers/software it uses to burn.
3. You changed media brand or the media you are now using is a bad batch.
Think back to the last time it worked and think about what you did on the computer between it working and you finding it didn't work.
