Jeemp.A??
OK, Well I haven't exactly took care of my computer very well since I've got it. Theres like 52 critical updates for windows microsoft I need to do and I finally downloaded a free virus scanner (AVG) Which seems okay, but I did a full virus scan and it said I had 9 diffrent viruses and cleaned them all but every once in awhile a box keeps poping up and saying 'Trojan Horse BackDoor. Jeemp. A' In all seriousness, I know AVG isn't that great since it's free, so what should I do? Also...my computer runs extremely slow and I have dial up and if I disconect it...it becomes unresponsive and I won't be able to reconnect to my internet service, unless I restart my computer, what could be causing that? A virus to? Another thing...on Internet Explorer, If I set my home page to a certain something it won't stay everytime I restart IE 'About Blank:' or some jive replaces it. So, does anyone have any advice as to what to do with all of my computer problems? OH one more thing..my computer always stops responding during programs and freezes and with IE alot of the time I get errors and it closes out.

Under system tools run Scandisk, defrag, disk cleanup. Then download
Spybot;

and Adaware
http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10...age&tag=button
and run then regularly.
