Tom Delay is being investigated for numerous things including the Texas legislative massacre and abuse of power in using he FAA and the FBI for political purposes.
Turns out that 4 out of 5 Republicans on the House Ethics committee (now there's an oxymoron) received money from a group that Delay founded and is part of the allegations against him.
Calls for an independent counsel have gone unheeded.
The Justice Department is refusing to even look into it.
