Which way do you disable Run starts in the Registry?

If you have something thats loading from the Registry and you want to temporarily disable it in the registry how do you do it so you can easily renable it? I am talking about things that don't show in msconfig. There are many ways I was just wondering how most people do it?

Export the registry key, save somewhere, click to merge it back into the registry.

That's what I do, too. Left over from my DOS days. I was wondering how many other ways there were.
    Anyone else?

Go to www.mlin.net and download Startup Control Panel...it friggin rocks. Little Control Panel app that lets you see all that starts up, and you can uncheck it so it doesn't start...then go back and recheck it to make it start again.
