DSO Exploit - guaranteed solution
After downloading a spending a **** load of money on adware programs that could not fix the problem, I decide to do the research and come up with an alternative. So by reading in the forums and trying all the said solutions, this one will work guaranteed. It does mean that you will have to do it manually.
The following are the paths to fix the DSO Exploit problem. Open Regedit, find your way according to the path to the Zones folders. Once you have found the folders according to the path, delete the 1004 key. Right click on the empty area where the 1004 key was and create a DWORD named 1004. Double click on the DWORD you just created and add a value of 3. Repeat this with the following five steps. Now run spybot, and you'll be clean.
First Step
HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Inter net Settings\Zones\0\1004
Second Step
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Inter net Settings\Zones\0\1004
Third Step
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Inter net Settings\Zones\0\1004
Fourth Step
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Inter net Settings\Zones\0\1004
Fifth Step
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\ Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004
