EZ Antivirus 2005 and Windows XP SP2
I recently did my yearly clean install on my Dell Inspirion 4100. I was running Windows XP SP1a, but updated to SP2. I downloaded a "fresh" copy of EZ Antivirus 2005 and when I double click on the file to start the install process nothing happens. I see EZ decompressing itself but that's as far as it goes. I CTRL+ALT+DEL and saw there were three processes running that were related to the EZ but nothing was happening.
I have tried downloading the file again just in case it was corrupted and I get the same thing.
Has anyone had any problems with EZ or any other AV software?

Not with antivirus software so far, although for some reason the sp2 security doesn't see NOD32 as an antivirus program..but with a few other minor bits of programs that require memory usage that sp2 does not allow..parts of photoshop elements..parts of ulead photoimpact, etc..

I've been running EZ Antivirus for a while on W2K SP4 with no problem. Updated to 2005 w/ no incident.
Apparently, XP SP2 has a number of known incompatibilities, and it might be best to hold off installing it till they get worked out. See this news story about IBM telling its employees not to install it. http://news.com.com/IBM+goes+slow+on...tml?tag=cd.hed
