Icons gone wonky.. please help.

Hi. I'm currently running Windows XP Home on my new system, and I've had no problems at all with pretty much anything since install until just about 30 minutes ago. All of a sudden for no apparent reason when I have my display color depth in 16 bit all of my icons show up in what would appear to be 8 bit color. But if I put my color depth in 32 bit all icons show up perfectly fine. I cannot for the life of me figure out what went wrong or how to deal with it. Like I said this pretty much just happened about half an hour ago and up until then the icons all looked perfectly normal. I have some screenshots posted below so you can see what I'm talking about. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it, thank you.

EDIT: Ok I fixed it.. blah. I just tweaked with the registry and changed the Shell Icon BPP from 32 to 16 and it seems to work just fine now. Sorry for being retarded.

Glad you figured it out rewep - frankly I would not of thought of a reg tweak for that.
