Computer Crashes when I open Outlook Express

As the title says; My computer crashes everytime I open up Outlook Express now. I've copied the Hijack this log and nothing appears to be different from the one when I had the RUNTIME ERROR 216. HELP PLEASE!!

To recap the smie.dll is part of my Secretmaker program. One thing I can tell you, if it makes a difference is I had JUST downloaded the update to the SecretMaker and then went to my Outlook Express. Don't know if that is a coincedence or not.

The computer just simply crashed. Turned itself off. I looked at the settings for the Secretmaker and saw that the "Spam" guard was on, turned it off, and now everything seems to be running fine. Not sure why that is, but that seems to have done the trick. I've been using Secretmaker for about 6 months and this is the first problem I've had with it interferring or causing computer to crash.

    Thanks NooNoo

OK, it rebooted automatically on error. The event log will have the details of the error generated. If you prefer to see what the problem is immediately, then right click my computer, properties, advanced tab, startup and recovery button, clear the check box automatically restart on error. Next time it will blue screen and stay there while you write down the full details of the blue screen. Then you can restart the computer again.

well, it's doing it again. Here is what I got from the "Blue Screen".

    Stop Error Messages:

    0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0X812BB36A, 0XF4877B0C, 0X00000000)

There was stuff about BIOS and all that I don't understand. If you need more informtion, please let me know. I was able to send a message earlier with OE and it was fine, then I went back to send a new one and the pc crashed. This is happening on a stupdily regular basis these days.....about 5 times this week. I've checked settings on the SecretMaker and it appears to be where its been all along....but I'm getting frustrated with it all.

Need the rest of the message - there will be a xxxx.sys file mentioned.

The stop 0x8E coupled with your 0xc5 above means
    0xC0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION
    A memory access violation occurred.

If you installed secret maker and it started - then it is likely that it is secret maker that is causing the error. Uninstall it - does the problem stop?

I had just updated Secretmaker. I finally found a SecretMaker forum and it appears that there is a conflict between it and ZoneLabs 5.1. I uninstalled Secretmaker as the firewall is more important to me and it's the one that I am most comfortable with. I can acess OE, and was able to send an email after unistalling it. Thanks. I kept trying to find out what those numbers meant and just couldn't find anything about those specific ones. Thanks NooNoo. You've helped me so much the last few months with getting both pc's up and running properly and safely.
