looking at this article from hp ,,,, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...ategory&os=228
<A class=udrline name="">You reached this page by selecting a printer. This document appeared because this is the best solution for that printer in Microsoft(R) Windows XP. Click here for installation instructions for another printer. The instructions may or may not be the same.
<A class=udrline name="">There is no need to download a printer driver from the Web. The drivers for HP Deskjet printers are included in Windows XP.
<A class=udrline name="">The following instructions are for installing the basic driver that is preloaded on Windows XP. This document describes how to load the appropriate printer driver that is pre-installed in your Windows XP operating system. The preinstalled Windows XP driver supports basic printing features.
<A class=udrline name="">This document only addresses the Windows XP operating system.
looks like thats it,

MegaMod
From freddy's link above:
The driver that Windows installed is a basic driver that allows printing but may not offer other advanced features such as banner, poster, or automatic two-sided printing.
As the man said, looks like that's it.
Many people have expressed the same opinion (problem) as your's. WinXP supplied drivers lose some of the features that many people depend on...especially, two-sided printing.
If you get a workaround, please post it here so that we might all learn from it.
Good Luck!

These are the right drivers! Although they are in chinese and if you don't installl the language all the letters you'l have are " IIII III IIIIII III" but if you look at them better you'll see they are easy to use, with ALL the options, maybe even a few more. There's a picture in properties that will help you see what options you've chosen.
I had these drivers before (I lost them obviously) and I know they work great.
They are easy to install aswell, because there are instructions on the web page. You just have to ignore all Windows wornings about unchecked drivers.
Bye!
