2 sp2 or not.
When a customer comes in and I reload his WinXp I am torn between installing sp2 or not.
My concern is that if I put in sp2 and he takes it home and finds some apps don't work he will be back in asking me to fix it at no charge.(happened 4 times already)
What are other people doing?

Geezer
Mmm .. you want to cast your eyes down this 'little' (its anything but !!!) list from M$ - Programs that are known to experience a loss of functionality when they run on a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer
So at this point I'm either telling the customer about this list & getting their 'ok' on putting it on (practical experience tells me half these things listed just need some tweaking or maybe a re-install, which if you are re-building anyway is no hardship) or if its 'corporate' I turn that decision over to their IT folks as to whether its 'policy' or not
