Might be a bit buggy, but it's free loot from MS.
How often does that happen?
...Your CD should arrive in 4 - 6 weeks...
Yeah... heard that before...

My copy of the previous patches & updates for everything CD came OK.
Its auto install is a nuisance though since of course it installs everything Microsoft thinks your system needs. eg DX9 on a system with a video card that can't handle it. Had to find some weird drivers to get a Trident 9750 to work after that happened!

Got an order confirmation email from MS.
At the bottom it says:
"We highly recommend that you update your Microsoft software to better
protect against viruses and security vulnerabilities."
Hee hee.
I run 9x online because there's less vulnerabilities...

It's hard to believe that they don't want their usual $9.99 for shipping, but I won't complain. Already have it from a friend, but another copy won't hurt a bit!
Great find Ju Leon

I downloaded the full version from their website and ordered the CD just for kicks. I am glad that they give people with dial-up a free oportunity to get the same updates that broadband users can. I can't imagine trying to get a 280+ meg file down a 56k modem. MS has been good about sending out update and trial disks. I have recieved everything I ordered eventually.

downloaded mine
Downloaded mine. Already had mine on and now off. I can't put my finger on it but it seems to slowed my system down. After reading this article http://www.theregister.com/2004/09/0...curity_review/ I don't know if I need to be in a hurry about it. Time will tell
