The world MDA HQ is in Tucson, up on Sunset Drive, and I can tell ya during my 12 years in The Old Pueblo there was no love lost between Mr. Lewis and MDA and Pima County AZ. Add to that some of the hateful things Mr. Lewis has said over the past several years in re to MDA and disabled people (my son is disabled) have turned me off towards the whole deal.

I feel for you Major. I have no idea what you have been / going through, but I wish you and your family the best.

As a disabled person myself I find myself strangely ON BOTH SIDES OF THIS ISSUE. It would naieve to assume that without 'pity' a lot of people who wouldn't give, indeed DO give.

On the other hand, in order for disabled people to retain our self respect we have to protest his statments.

It a contradiction to have both sides doing the opposite things and still be right -but both sides win if we do what we do.
