Welcome to Windrivers WindDiciple
Have you loaded service pack 1 for windows xp?
If you put in an audio cd, does it appear to play? Does autoplay work?
If you use my computer, right click on the drive with the music cd in and choose explore, do you see any files with a cda extension?
What do you normally use to play an audio cd - windows media player? Do you have any other media players like winamp or realone?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Make sure the audio wire is plugged into the sound card, or try reversing it.. Try the speakers on the headphone jack of your CD drive ?
& what error messages if any, are we getting from what, when trying to play it ?

So autoplay is not working.... have you tried right clicking on the cd rom in my computer and selecting play?

Windiciple, what says there are no tracks?
I haven't heard of an error message like that, are you sure that is exactly the error that pops up?
Was this an upgrade to xp or was it a clean install?
