message body in outlook
Don't know why but now I have seen 3 cases in the last few weeks,
In outlook express 6 the clients messages have no "body" to them. If you open the message or even view in the preview pane still no text, although the address information is there and can be forwarded to another pc to be viewed
any thoughts?

Reinstall/repair IE 6...
The issue I saw was the exact same, however it was Regular Outlook that wouldn't display HTML email correctly.
Reinstalling IE6 did the trick.

reinstalling IE / outlook had been tried on the first case with no success, the only fix at that time was to reinstall OS (xp in all cases)
oh and the usual virus /spy-ware was checked too
thought this might be new issue arising and I DON'T want to reload every time

i would really like to find the answer to this issue. I ahve it on a friend's computer and our local Time Warner RR support stated taht they have seen over 20 cases these last two weeks. THier answere was to delete the cache and restart. That did not help.
Thanks

Uhhh I just got an email
In the inbox list everything is blank but the envelope icon on the left, and the recieved date/time and size (1kb)
it is blank in the preview pane and the message is blank. The internet header (view options in outlook 2002) shows - xxx@xxx is my email address which I xxx'd for security reasons.

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Have any of you by chance recently installed the Java Runtime Environment and OpenOffice?

Try this
Same thing happened to me. Type regsvr32 inetcomm.dll in the Start Run box and it fixed it for me.
- If that doesn't help, see if the fix in this article applies:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=312351
OLEXP: Message Appears Blank and Has an ATT000XX.txt or ATT000XX.htm
Attachment
- If that doesn't help, in Internet Explorer, select 'View|Encoding',
uncheck "Auto-Select" and choose instead "Western European (ISO)". Try
reading messages again.
- If the problem is only with HTML messages, and you have OE6 with SP1, go
to 'Tools|Options|Read' and uncheck "Read All Messages in Plain Text".
Good Luck
