Dave Lee Roth for the early stuff, Sammy Hagar for the more recent stuff.

If I had to choose, Dave would be the man. More of a frontman than Hagar with his wrap around the head microphones...

    Van Halen ROCK!

    All together now....

    Jump, go ahead and jump....

As stated, they both have their high points, and both brought something to the band that the other could never do. I felt the complexity level of their music increased by the OU812 album, and their chops became Tight! However, noone could rock like Roth. He had a harmony with the lead guitar that was so tight you thought his voice was an instrument…yet he could rap with the best too.

Two great singers in their own way…to chose one would have to be by preference alone. By that, I pick Roth!

Come on, you hate me because I was trying to get people riled up, and once again it was ignored? I am not a fan of Van Halen, but you have to respect what both singers did with the band (except for that singer they had that did that song "More than words").

The NHL Lockout will finally turn Canada's attention to other sports such as football.

You mean there was 2 different singers in Van Halen???..............here I thought it was the same sh*t the whole time!!! That really takes some skill to find a replacement singer who sucks just as bad as your first one!

Before all you long hair freaks who are stuck in the 80's start throwing your bandanna's and cans of Aquanet at me - I was just kidding!

(Well, partially - I know the whole story, blah, blah, blah - but I still think Van Halen sucks azz, regardless of who's singing.)

They'd best be careful not to repeat the fiasco of the Baseball strike we had years ago. Baseball fans got into the habit of watching other sports. I don't think MLB ever fully recovered its fan base.

Maybe not the league, but come to Boston sometime and have a look. We have a football team that's won two championships in three years and all everyone can talk about is the Sox.

    Hehehehe....Nobody likes Gary Cherone.

Van Halen is a legit RR Hall of Fame type band, and Eddie is one of THE best electric guitar players in rock.

That being said, DLR is a better Showman than Sammy, and they both have their good points, imho.

Agreed. Never a big fan of VH, but fast Eddie is real good.

Now that is something I didn't know. Montrose rocked. I had never heard of them in NYC until I went to ND in the USAF. Saw them in concert. "Bad Motorscooter" anyone.

Can't stand him, but I agree that he's one of the best. One of the last true innovators. I listen to the crap on the radio these days and it's all bar chords that any first year guitar player could play. Where's the next Hendrix or Hammett or VH or Clapton or Paige? There's no good guitar music being put out these days that I can find. Is it hidden somewhere that I'm just missing it? Oh wait, the white stripes guy is pretty darn good and different from everything else out there. Still mostly crap besides him tho.
    WWBRD?
