[RESOLVED] Upgrading Win 98 to Win 98 2nd edition
Is there a way I can upgrade my current win 98 to win 98 2nd edition with the full win 98 2nd edition CD? I do not have the "upgrade version"

If your registered you can get the Win98SE upgrade from Microsoft.
I believe it was only $9.95 plus shipping.
Go to the Windows Update site, and you can order it on line. Hopefully they are still offering it.
It is an upgrade that will only work with the original Win98.

Assuming you have procured 98SE by legit means........
You should be able to overwrite your Win98 and upgrade to 98SE by booting into 98 then copying all you win98 dir on your SE cdrom into say c:\backup\win98, then booting into dos, going to c:\windows, rename win.com to say win.abc, then goto c:\backup\win98 and run setup, it will retain your existing settings etc.
