Y'all ain't never heard of the Broken Arrow? It's not a secret. If the term Broken Arrow bothers ya then y'all better not look up Bent Spear or Empty Quiver.
The DoD even has a directive defining what a nuclear weapons accident is. You can read up on it at... http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/c...tml/523016.htm (fun reading )

It's one thing to have the terms, it another thing to have one of 11 as part of a disscussion still at large for over 50 years...that's scary! 11!

Ya have to turn it around Ya_Know. It's because we have the "11" that brought about the terms.
Actually though we have 11 missing bombs there have been several "Broken Arrows" that have been recovered. Three incidents come to mind:
- Palomares, Spain in 1966
- Thule AFB - Greenland in 1968
- Lakenheath Air Base, Suffolk, England - 1956 (actually these were ground based, a B-47 crashed into a weapons bunker where 3 A-Bombs were stored, this one had the makings of a major aw crap).

I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!
Stay on the bomb run, boys. I'm going to get them doors open if it hair lips everybody on Bear Creek.

Kind of reminds me of the movie "The Sum of All Fears" when they find that old nuke in the desert.
