[RESOLVED] WIn 98 Ver 2 installation

In attempting to install Win 98/ver2, I am not getting a screen for the product key prior to getting the installation wizard. On this same machine, I can install Win98/ver1. I have tried different memory, a different hard drive, two mother boards (ASUS) different processors, slowing down the BUS to 66 mhz, Fdisk, formatting, two CDROMS, one of which successfuly installed Ver 2 on a different machine. I have used ASUS in the past with no problems. Any ideas?

The problem is...the version you are trying to install won't ask for the product key until after the install!
Run the damn thing through, and you'll see.

I'll give it a try, but I think I tried this several times before with no results.

Tried it, it worked! Thanks. I had also replaced the memory with a different brand. I probably used a too cheap a memory the first time - really appreciate the help.
