my multimedia audio controller has no set drivers

I just got this cpu from a friend and i want to play a cd and it said i have no sound card. but there is one i need the drivers for it and dont know how to do it. i have windows xp and thats all i know about my cpu so please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to windrivers jen. We're going to need more to go on than that. Is this a branded pc (dell, ibm, hp, etc.)? If so, we need the brand and specific model number. There is usually a tag with the model and serial number on the back/top/side of the case.

the model # is LC-B450E
Intel III
256 mb of ram
666 mhz
windows xp

Err that appears to be a power supply code, which I guess you might well find on the back !

As I'm guessing you might be a touch 'computer challenged' (no offence & all that

) try getting this utility Everest run it & post the results please (cut & paste it into a reply), it'll tell us 'nerds' what we need to know

(make sure you don't include any serial numbers inadvertantly )

No luck there - that's the model # of your power supply.
Download Everest http://www.lavalys.com/products/down...ng=en&pageid=3 and post the info from the following sections:
Computer\DMI\System
Computer\DMI\Motherboard
Motherboard\Motherboard\Motherboard Name
Multimedia\PCI Audio
