The greatest comedian ever has passed on.  RIP Rodney.

I just saw this on CNN
Comedian Rodney Dangerfield died Tuesday at the age of 82 at UCLA Medical Center, his office tells CNN. Details soon.

Holy crap. This is just terrible. He found many great comedians and brought them out into the limelight so the world could laugh at their jokes, Jim Carrey and Sam Kinison come to mind immediately, its sad to see him go.

Agreed (so I'll say this in yours too wrbby).
Great comic. Never got old...always refreshing. Sort of the anti-Bob Hope (who was also great). Wow: what a talent.

Well,.. in all fairness, we posted only 2 minutes apart and I did look to see if it had already been posted. 
Anyway,.. such greatness does indeed deserve two threads I think.
