Ah but -ed.. you're forgetting something: a pint of Stella, Boddies or Tetley over here costs about $7.50 in a decent pub. Thats about what.. almost £4.00?
Of course, if you want to drink gnats wee, then yeah, you'll get it cheap.

Yeah...the good liquor is expensive. Best deal out there is Knob Creek bourbon. Its about $20/fifth and its darn good stuff.
As far as the hangover, just be sure to drink plenty of water. That keeps me clear, and gets me plenty of exercise walking to the bathroom and back.

dude, get two 6 packs of Keystone Ice talls, $3.59 each or 1/2 rack of PBR or Raineer $5.29. that'd do the trick
and nothing you buy for $8 is gonna get you drunk without a killer hangover

Aw, hello no our booze ain't cheap. This was just the smattering of the bottom shelf stuff listed here. The stuff that you drink only if you want to die...
Our regular booze of decent quality is expensive, about $25 a liter for stoli, jameson, jack daniels. A fifth of mid grade stuff is usually about $16-20 (captain morgan, southern comfort). The really good stuff (glenlivet - sic?) is $35-$55.
I opted to whip ot the credit card and grab some kettle one and vermouth and a bag of ice. Guess what I'm making? Hint, you add olives to it...

Laptops/Notebooks/PDA Mod
Before, I'd of went with a pint of grain and mixed it with iced tea............course now PA has this stupid law so you can't get it anymore.
So, if I only had 8$, I'd go with a 12 pack of some cheap beer (Busch, etc.) or else a pint of Southern Comfort.
Course, with $8, you could get 4 40's of Hurricane - that would rock your world, but you'd feel like you got run over by a freight train come tomorrow morning. (Been there, done that!)
