My system information tells me I have a problem with my Primary IDE controller

The article says for code 29:
"This code means that the device has been disabled because the device does not work properly and cannot be made to work properly with Windows. This code may also be present if the device is intentionally disabled in the BIOS.

You may be able to resolve this error code by enabling or disabling the device in the computer's CMOS settings. Windows cannot override this setting. Please contact the computer's manufacturer for assistance with using the computer's CMOS configuration program. "

2. The other has been used for a different problem, but maybe it will apply. Take a look and tell us what you think, if you have the NOIDE value in the registry it should be worth deleting:

To be clear on my advice, I have never seen your error, so all I can go on is the first article. The second is something I have addressed, but again it was for a different symptom, which is described in the article.
