    Post I.E.5.5. vs. my printer

I had to upgrade to I.E.5.5. Sometimes, when I try to print, I receive an error message, and this only happens with I.E.5.5. What can I do to alleviate this problem? Is there a patch for this problem, or what?

    What is the error message?
What are you trying to print?
Have you tried upgrading to IE 6.0?

Is it an HP printer. If so, it is a known issue with deskjets. Sometimes the workaround is to print from the file= print command instead of the print icon or the print link on the page. Updated drivers may also work.

My advice is to get rid of IE.5.5. Use IE.5.0 or 6.0. IE 5.5 is rife with problems and this is one of them.

You could also check Microsoft's website for patches using searchwords IE 5.5, print etc. You could also check your printer's website for patches. You could also try reinstall your printer's drivers.

However if this only happens with 5.5 then it is probably a 5.5 problem.

    Hope this helps.
