Thanks for replying Merlinsghost.
Just to recap, rechecked NIC settings. They were fine. I didn't see anything that had changed from when this same PC was connected and working on the network. As far as client, protocols, and adapters, I had things just as you listed except for QoS packet scheduling. which was enabled as is the PC that I'm writing this on. I've seen some write that QoS should be turned off.
But it is too late for any of that because I formatted C:\!!!
