Server Will Not Reboot After Registry Mods
After adding/changing the following registries for Timbuktu Pro:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\Internet
UseInternetPorts = “N” (Type: REG_SZ)
Ports = "1-2100" (Type: REG_MULTI_SZ)
PortsInternetAvailable = “Y” (Type: REG_SZ)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters
ReservedPorts = "1-2100" (Type: REG_MULTI_SZ)
My server will not reboot properly. It just goes to a black screen with a white cursor in the upper left corner of the screen.
I can reboot the server remotely (through Dell remote assistance card) and the OS comes up without a problem.
I have servers that are loaded with this same configuration, same software and have no issues.
Anyone had similar issues?
Following our instinct not a trend, go against the grain until the end.

No, but if you undo each one of those registry changes in turn, do you get the normal boot back at some point?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
