Help! Exploere.EXE Entry Point not found
I received the following message when I logged into my pc, I chose my name from the selection and was immediately prompted with this error message:
Explorer. EXE Entry point not found
The procedure entry point SHCreate ThreadRef could not be located in the dynamic link library ShLwapi.dll.
I am on XP w/ sp2. Last night I ran a sp2 update and now I get that message. When I click okay, it brings me to my desktop, but does not offer me my icons or my start menu.
Anyone have any ideas?

There seems to be 3 answers -
1. uninstall sp2
2. you have a virus which corrupted sp2, so uninstall and reinstall
3. your version of sp2 is corrupt, so uninstall sp2 and reinstall from a different source.
How did you install sp2? Have you checked for viruses, trojans and spyware? use these recommendations here even if you think you are clean, it wouldn't hurt to check again.
