Thank you Noo and everyone else for your encouragement - believe me I need it! I am finding it TOUGH! Right now I have a migraine, since the course started they have got worse again so hope I am better by the time for class.
I have Server 2003 running on a partition on this machine but of course I cannot emulate what we are doing in the College lab, the NWTraders stuff, with the teacher's machine London and he also uses Glasgow and we all have place names and everything is set up ready for the modules. I am completely lost where homework is concerned and the only thing to do is to go in to class early and work there as Paul has offered to make the lab available one hour before class each week for anyone who does not have a lab or a real work enviroment.
I am taking Server off here because it is intermingling with XP and causing problems eg cannot set the default boot to XP, the security settings for IE in Server 2003 are causing Hotmail to require my password everytime I check my email in XP and I noticed that when I did windows update all my WUTemp files for Server 2003 went in my XP drive Server installed to a visible drive but Paul says being able to see and access Server from XP and vice versa is usual - I think not because when I put XP Home and Server 2000 on my old machine to multi boot with ME only the OS I booted to showed up as system OS and the others were hidden.
