Shenzhen Itzr motherboards?
Hi All!
The Vice-Pres./Purchaser where I work wants to buy a load of motherboards from Shenzhen Itzer ( www.itzr.com.cn ). His latest interest is in some i815 motherboards that will accept P3/P2/mobile CPUs and have an ADD slot (AGP Digital Display extension slot)... not a true AGP slot.
An Excel spreadsheet they sent us showed several remarked items in their catalog (including 1.7GHz Celerons remarked to show up as 3.06GHz P3's). This gives me a real bad feeling about them. Their primary export regions are anywhere except North America.
Has anyone dealt with them or even heard of this company?
I don't want to be the one stuck building 500 systems per year for a high-profile client out of remarked crap.
Thanks for any assistance.

I would stay away from anything this different from the norm when it comes to hardware.
There is simply no financial or performance benefit in purchasing these boards and you can expect support to be difficult, at the very least. It will cost you more than the price of standard Intel motherboards to maintain a park of these, trust me.
The graphics cards are not mainstream and the CPUs are being phased out.
I hope your VP did not invest in this company.

Thanks for responding, GreenGrime.
No, thankfully, the VP didn't invest in the company. He's pretty computer-illiterate and, after a long discussion, decided to look at more well-known brands (we still may end up with PC Chips or Matsonic, but I've dealt with their products before.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
