    stop a driver from loading?

    is there any way to stop a driver from loading during a os install? when i try to load any os on a laptop, the enhanced keyboard driver causes my mouse and keyboard to stop working and all i can do is stare at the do you want to start loading windows ok/cancel popup and i obviously can click anything or enter on the key any ideas?
